Liquid Handling Systems

Möller Medical has been a manufacturer of high-quality analytical needles and connection systems for several decades. We work closely together with the customer and develop solutions together.

Here, our many years of expertise in the field of metal and plastics processing are of great benefit to us.

Our customers include many well-known manufacturers in the analytical industry.

Our specialties are:
  • Straight simple needles
  • Multiple channel needles
  • Cap piercing needles
  • Heated needles
  • Steel needles with integrated PTFE/FEP tubes®
In addition we offer complete, also heatable® technical tubing systems with three different connection mechanisms:

  • V1 simple
  • V2 reduced dead water®
  • V3 dead water free®
Our processes allow us to create dead water free connection between steel needle and tubing systems as well as between plastic components and tubing systems.

The TorqFit fitting series were developed to limit the tightening torque of the fittings to 12-15 Ncm. This ensures no damage is caused in the connection area by overtightening. The design and all parameters (tightening torque, thread, dimensions, material, etc.) can be customized according to your special requirements.

Möller Medical's roots are traditionally in precision engineering. This influence is still felt today. For this reason, metal and plastic processing is one of our core competencies, especially through direct overmolding.

We offer:

Precision injection molding of a wide variety of plastics, including autoclavable plastics (PEEK, PVDF, etc.) with own toolmaking for injecting and overmolding of components
Drilling, cutting, welding and marking by Laser
Ultrasonic welding and special designs in membrane joining technology
Automated 3D free-form bending
In-house toolmaking for highest competence and flexibility for the customer
Quality control by using modern measuring and analysis methods
The Superfinish® patented by Möller Medical achieves very smooth inner surfaces with Ra-values to 0.10 µm for pipe geometries down to 0.3 mm x 200 mm.

We also offer high-quality coatings for our needles.

Produktkategorie: Pumpen

In addition to our wide range of standard products, SPQ® can also provide individual solutions according to your needs.

Customized variants of our roller pumps are even available for small quantities. Our engineering development team supports you from the early concept design phase according to your demand.

We offer standard-tube sets as well as customized tube systems according to your specification suitable for our roller pumps.

Peristaltic pumps have a firm place in medical technology due to their reliability, flow rate and controllability as well as their hygienic cleanliness. They function as positive displacement pumps. The medium to be pumped is pressed through an external hose via a rotor or a camshaft and thus does not come into contact with the pump itself. This makes them very suitable for pumping sensitive, highly viscous, aggressive liquids as well as liquids containing suspended particles or contaminated liquids.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography is an established process for chemical analysis and separation of mixed substances. The process is used millions of times a year and belongs to the standard repertoire of every modern laboratory in research and industry. Principally, it is based on the variation of adhesive energy between the substances to be separated and a known substrate. Simply said, the mixed substance in solution is set in motion (brought into a mobile phase) and forced at high pressure through a column of porous particles (stationary phase). The components of the mixture come out of the separating column at different times according to the adsorption in the stationary phase.

Möller Medical commands 35 years of experience in HPLC hardware. We regard ourselves as problem solver and systems manufacturer for our clients, whom we support from the development phase until series production.
We offer:

Large selection of HPLC hardware

  • Manufacture of HPLC hardware by your specifications and quality requirements
  • One-stop shopping: All products and critical process steps from one supplier
  • Joint venture from idea to product
  • From development to complete production from a single source
  • Vertical manufacturing range, machining, lasering, injection moulding, coating, custom made surface tuning, clean room and much more ...

We can also offer coated and heated or cooled needles for use in analytics thanks to our electronics department and the Möller NanoCoatings.

One of our strengths is connecting metal and plastic using overmoulding techniques.

The final cleaning process of our products for medical use takes place in a validated cleaning machine, from which the parts enter our cleanroom (class 100.000) through an air lock. Assembly and final packaging of the products takes place here.

We are able to implement various gluing processes to combine metal with plastics, glass, other metals or other materials, including UV- and heat-curing glue types.

If required we can carry out sterilization with Ethylene Oxide together with a partner company before stocking / shipping.

Products, whether sterile or bulk-packed (in double PE-bags), are kept in a paternoster system ready for shipping.

CSF Management

LiquoGuard® is a revolutionary step in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) management. Through the use of LiquoGuard® the safety of drainage can be maximized, the well-being of patients increased, treatment costs reduced, and a unique level of patient mobility can be achieved.

LiquoGuard® has been designed to support clinical personnel, and to save their valuable time.
LiquoGuard® is the only CSF management system in the world that drains and simultaneously measures CSF pressure under controlled circumstances. The first generation was introduced in 2006 and to this day enjoys the highest level of popularity worldwide. Since 2011 the second generation, LiquoGuard® 7 , has been available, it extends the product range and has been setting new standards in CSF management.

The LiquoGuard® product line consists of LiquoGuard®, LiquoGuard® 7 and the extensive offering of accessories and consumables. Both systems handle fully automatic, volume-controlled or pressure controlled CSF drainage, and on request, also the infusion of fluid for support of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) diagnosis.

In addition to all LiquoGuard® functions, LiquoGuard® 7 offers a number of new features that further increase patient safety and application safety, significantly reduce the number of alarm situations, facilitate evaluation of data, and enable connection to other systems (e.g. external ICP sensor or parenchyma sensor, printer, internal building call system).

Numerous ideas from practice users throughout the world were considered, in order to develop LiquoGuard® 7; your invaluable companion in the clinic.
